It helped, but the route I was taken on was different than the posted route (having checked the comments there, seems like it is still one of the options). A few days before the test, I found a posted map of the Drive Test route for the G in Downsview (Google it, and you'll find it) and drove it to familiarize myself with the area. Despite driving on the highway on a daily basis since getting my G2 last summer, I was nervous about the test given what I've heard from scouring the internet (low passage rates, surly examiners etc) and just being examined in general. I think the burnhamthorpe ramp construction ends this weekend and my wife's test is next week so should be back to the normal route. I did not consider the Holiday or Eva Road exits so definitely think some practice there is a good idea. afterward you can enter highway 427 Southbound through Eringate Dr. or they can make you turn right on Renforth from Eglinton and then left on Eringate Drive and then make you do 3 point turn and emergency stops on the side streets around Eringate Dr. or they could possibly make you exit on Dundas and get you back on the highway going northbound.īoogieWilliams wrote: ↑You might enter on highway 427 just off Matheson Blvd and Renforth Rd. If the exit is closed most likely you will exit the highway on one of the smaller ramps such as Holiday Rd or Eva Rd. If the Burnhamthorpe exit is open you will exit there and they will make you turn left on Burnhamthorpe (keep the right lane when turning left because they will make you enter highway 427 Northbound and the ramp is on the right side of Burnhamthorpe). You might enter on highway 427 just off Matheson Blvd and Renforth Rd. Would have to be over the last week.Much appreciated. If anyone has any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM. When you make a right onto Yonge, the speed limit will change to 80 km/h and then back to 60/km after Industrial Parkway South (right under the railway track, and right before the plaza where the DriveTest centre is) Bloomington, once you get off the highway, starts at 80 km/h before changing to 60/km Wellington varies from 60 km/h to 70 km/h to 80 km/h When you make a left onto Yonge (north of Allaura Boulevard), has a speed limit of 50 km/h Don't worry too much though, as the signs are clearly posted in advance of when the different speed limit starts. For example, be sure to follow the speed limit, as it changes quite frequently throughout the routed. This also really helped my nerves and confidence, as I was still able to drive through Yonge - Wellington - 404 South - Bloomington a few times to get a hang of the traffic conditions. I know for me-even though the route the examiner took me on ended up being completely different from the outdated ones posted online-it was really beneficial to drive around the area and get a sense of the traffic conditions and road variances. I just took my G2 Exit Test yesterday at the Aurora location and figured I put the route up here in case anyone might find it of use. Back to Port Union Drive Test Center (FINISH).On HWY 401 East Bound (Made 2 Lane Changes).Turn Right onto HWY 401 East (Merged at 100 kph).On HWY 401 West Bound (Made 2 Lane Changes).Turn Right onto HWY 401 West (Merged at 100 kph).(Emergency Stop, Parallel Park, and 3 point Turn)
